I am a foodie, and one of my favourite dish is “Chicken Biryani”. As a matter of fact, I would say that the one who has never tasted the delicious chicken has wasted his life on earth (a bit of hyperbole, I Agree, but it’s OK for chicken :-) :-)). Last month I was in Hyderabad, and I happened to visit "Paradise" for a plate of Chicken Biryani. After my experience @ paradise I can safely say that there only two types of Biryanis – the one served at Paradise and the rest. I had heard a lot about Paradise for its mouth watering preparations, but after tasting the Chicken Biryani there I feel it’s the paradise for all Biryani lovers, and everyone fond of Biryanis must make a trip to this Mecca of Biryani.
I ordered a regular Chicken Biryani, which was served in quick time with Raita and some gravy. The preparation didn’t show even a drop of oil and the aroma coming out of masala (spices) gave it a heavenly feel. The use of masala in the right and appropriate quantity made the preparation different from anything I had anywhere else. This I am saying coz I also cook and I have a fair understanding of how a good preparation turns bad by simple miscalculation in the use of masala. Coming back to the Biryani, the chicken was tenderly cooked which kept its taste alive, also the Basmati rice served was of good quality. While having my Biryani I realised why Biryani is so closely associated with Hyderabad. There so many joints in Hyderabad serving this delicacy, paradise being the best among the lot.
The management I saw at Paradise also requires a mention. They have equipped their employees with walky-talky to ensure that available places are properly utilised and the customers need not wait. The waiters carry a hand-held device to take down the order which is then followed up by the junior waiters. They have changed this enterprise to cater to huge customers at the same time in the most efficient manner, and seeing the queue of people waiting for a table, I think they surely require such an arrangement.
The setting of the whole restaurant was average and the service was also ok, nothing great to make a special mention. The only reason one should go to this place is for having a delicious Biryani at an affordable price nothing more nothing less.
